COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:50 A.M. MARCH 19, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien. Excused Commissioner Paul Jewell.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Jill Scheffer,
Event Center Director & Lisa Young, HR Director.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD EVENT CENTER
Jill Scheffer, Event Center Director requested the Board’s
permission to hire temporary/on-call employees while they work to
hire their two new employees. She stated that there are some large
events coming up and they need the help and they have the funds in
the budget.
Lisa Young, HR Director indicated she had no concerns and noted that
they would only be allowed for up to 60 days, otherwise the Board
would need to approve an extension.
Commissioner O’Brien and Chairman Osiadacz authorized the
temporary/on-call employees for up to 60 days.
Meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
