Law & Justice Study Session Minutes <br />February 7, 2018 <br />Commissioners Auditorium <br />Meeting called to order at 0805 a.m. <br />Present: Commissioners Laura Osiadacz, Obie O'Brien, Paul Jewell, Sheriff Dana, Prosecutor Greg Zempel, <br />Kittom Director Darlene Mainwaring and Rich Elliott with KVFR. <br />Discuss false 9-1-1 calls impact on Law Enforcement, EMS and dispatch - Kittitas Interactive Management <br />has a special needs person who calls 911 a lot. Requests for Law Enforcement and aid cars and is causing a <br />huge impact on EMS and Law Enforcement. There are three caretakers, one person at a time for 24-7 care. <br />Rich Elliott mentioned this is costing tax payers $250 a call. Darlene said there were 27 calls in the month of <br />November alone. Darlene said she can contact the case manager and Paul said lets meet with the individual <br />and if that doesn't work, we will go to the next and if that doesn't work we will go to the next, etc. <br />Paul advised Darlene to gather all the data and costs and give to him and he will schedule a meeting. Paul <br />will look into the Conditional Use Permit and he and Darlene will work together on this. In pursing an <br />ordinance, Rich said he has language from other areas and will forward to Paul for consideration and will <br />also provide to the City of Ellensburg. <br />No other business. <br />Meeting adj our 8:32 a.m. <br />t� <br />Gene eriff <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />
