COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:40 A.M. FEBRUARY 5, 2018
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien & Commissioner Paul Jewell.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board & Jill Scheffer, KVEC Director.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD KVEC
Jill Scheffer, Event Center Director stated that there had been a
report done from 2006 on the rodeo arena floor boards. She stated
that there are a lot of rotten boards that need to be replaced and
she is guessing it would take approximately $40,000.00 to replace
the rotten boards for materials only, not labor. She stated that the
fiberglass seating is also in bad shape and breaking apart. She
stated that the polyurethane application and materials would cost
approximately $80,000.00. Ms. Scheffer asked the Board for direction
on how to proceed for both projects.
The Board directed Ms. Scheffer to see about the cost of having
aluminum replace the fiberglass seating and report back.
OTHER BUSINESS
Ms. Scheffer presented the Board with an aerial view of the Event
Center that highlighted possible additional RV Parking options for
them to think about.
