SPECIAL MEETING
FRIDAY 2:00 P.M. DECEMBER 8, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz; and Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Gene Dana, Sheriff;
Heather Seibert, Chief Financial Manager; Jerry Pettit, Auditor;
Lisa Lawrence, Solid Waste Assistant Director; Lucas Huck, Engineer;
Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager; Dan Carlson, CDS Director;
Sarah Keith, Superior Court Administrator; Elishia Harvill, Office
Administrator; and Lisa Young, Human Resource Director.
PUBLIC HEARING 2018 BUDGET AUDITOR
At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN JEWELL opened a Public Hearing continued from
December 4, 2017 to consider adopting the 2018 Kittitas County
Budget.
JUDY PLESS, BUDGET & FINANCE MANAGER provided an update and reviewed
proposed Resolutions relating to adopting the 2018 budget. She
indicated all the budgets are balanced.
THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE
HEARING WAS CLOSED.
RESOLUTION 2017-184 ANNUAL CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM AUDITOR
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-184,
Adopting an Annual Construction Program for 2018. COMMISSIONER
O’BRIEN seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2017-185 GENERAL TAX LEVY AUDITOR
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-185,
Levying Taxes for the General Tax Levy for Municipal Purposes of
Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2018, According to the
Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2017. COMMISSIONER
O’BRIEN seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2017-186 COUNTY ROAD LEVY AUDITOR
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-186,
Levying Taxes for the County Road for Municipal Purposes of Kittitas
County, Washington for the Year 2018 According to the Assessed

Valuation as Determined in the Year 2017. COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN
seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2017-187 FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT AUDITOR
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-187,
Levying Taxes for the County Flood Control Zone District for
Municipal Purposes of Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2018
According to Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2017.
COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2017-188 COUNTY BUDGET AUDITOR
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-188,
Adopting the Budget for the County of Kittitas, Washington for the
Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2018. COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN
seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2017-189 LEVY CERTIFICATION – GENERAL FUND AUDITOR
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-189, for
Levying Certification for the General Fund for Municipal Purposes of
Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2018 According to the
Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2017. COMMISSIONER
O’BRIEN seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2017-190 LEVY CERTIFICATION - COUNTY ROAD AUDITOR
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-190, for
the Levying Certification for the County Road for Municipal Purposes
of Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2018 According to the
Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2017. COMMISSIONER
O’BRIEN seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2017-191 LEVY CERTIFICATION – FLOOD CONTROL ZONE AUDITOR
COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No.2017-191, for
the Levying Certification for the County Flood Control zone District
for Municipal Purposes of Kittitas County, for the Year 2018
According to the Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2017.
COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
CHAIRMAN JEWELL thanked everyone for their participation in this
year’s budget sessions.
