DECEMBER 1, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz; and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Judy Pless, Budget & <br />Finance Manager; Barb Demory, Lower District Court Administrator; <br />Lisa Young, Human Resource Director; Sue Higginbotham, <br />Administrative Assistant; Todd Davis, Noxious Weed Director; Elishia <br />Harvill, Office Administrator; Nick Henderson, Coroner; Brett <br />Wachsmith, Treasurer; Mike Hougardy, Assessor; Robin Read, Public <br />Health Administrator; Jim Goeben, IT Director; Lucas Huck, Engineer; <br />Heather Seibert, Chief Financial Manager; Diana MacKenzie, Upper <br />District Court Administrator; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; and Patti <br />Johnson, Solid Waste/Maintenance Director/Project Manager. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING 2018 BUDGET COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:00 p.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to review the <br />2018 preliminary budget. He said the Board would be discussing the <br />County’s health care benefit contribution for employees. <br /> <br />Lisa Young, Human Resource Director provided budget impacts and <br />information on employees who have medical coverage through the <br />County and those who waive. <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve an additional contribution of <br />$25.00 to employees who enroll in employee-only County medical <br />coverage ($725.00/month); an additional contribution of $200.00 to <br />employees who enroll a spouse or child(ren) in County medical <br />($900.00/month); and an additional contribution of $300.00 to <br />employees who enroll full family in County medical <br />($1,000.00/month), effective January 1, 2018. Commissioner Osiadacz <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
