2016 Preliminary Budget Discussions
Coroner, Human Resource, Fire Marshal, Commissioner’s Office
Meeting started at 10:15
Coroner
Coroner Nick Henderson reviewed his 2016 preliminary
departmental budget. He reviewed the following items: Death
certificate fee; review of departmental salaries; leaving
vehicle at Courthouse and at Upper District Court; cell phones
and fixing the current 2015 professional services budget.
Human Resource
Lisa Young reviewed her 2016 preliminary departmental budget.
She reviewed the following items: Civil Service; Risk Management
Department; increase in the budget – correctional process. Also
reviewed was the standardized test for civil service positions,
add $6,000 for assessment center. There was review of the
request for the .40FTE with no benefits; AWC membership fee.
Commissioner’s Office – 2:20pm
Julie Kjorsvik reviewed the 2016 preliminary departmental
budget. There was an error in insurance so remove $5,056 from
the request.
Fire Marshal
Brenda Larsen reviewed the 2016 preliminary departmental budget.
The following items were reviewed: increase request is above the
norm for the deputy director – Fees increase to cover the
increase; discussion of fee increase.
