COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />WEDNESDAY 3:00 PM OCTOBER 29, 2014 <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-chairman Gary <br />Berdnt; Commissioner Obie O’Brien <br />Others: Public Works Director Kirk Holmes, Finance Systems <br />Manager Kathy Jurgens, Administrative Assiant Candi Leader and <br />Budget and Finance Manager Judy Pless <br />SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br />2015 Preliminary Budget Discussion <br />Transportation Family Group <br />Airport <br />Discussion was had regarding the following items: CIP <br />information $50,000 for pavement assessment, needing <br />environmental work $500,000 FAA project runway extension funds <br />must be used by 2018 and the use of fund 108 monies to fund work <br />with an application. Discussion was had regarding the airport <br />being a self-service facility and solar at the airport. <br /> <br /> <br />County Road <br />Discussion was had regarding fund balance and projects funded <br />from local funds. There was also discussion regarding PILT <br />(payment in lieu of taxes). <br /> <br /> <br />Flood Control <br />Discussion was had regarding grants and Commissioner O’Brien <br />asked about property acquisitions. <br /> <br /> <br />Public Facilities <br />Discussion regarding the .09 tax authorized by Kittitas County <br />Code 3.05.060 The tax was imposed by KCC 3.05.010 shall take <br />effect August 1, 2007 and shall expire June 30, 2023 (ordinance <br />2007-023) Fairgrounds debt $163,000. <br /> <br />
