2015 Preliminary Budget Discussion
Transportation Family Group
Airport
Discussion was had regarding the following items: CIP
information $50,000 for pavement assessment, needing
environmental work $500,000 FAA project runway extension funds
must be used by 2018 and the use of fund 108 monies to fund work
with an application. Discussion was had regarding the airport
being a self-service facility and solar at the airport.
County Road
Discussion was had regarding fund balance and projects funded
from local funds. There was also discussion regarding PILT
(payment in lieu of taxes).
Flood Control
Discussion was had regarding grants and Commissioner O’Brien
asked about property acquisitions.
Public Facilities
Discussion regarding the .09 tax authorized by Kittitas County
Code 3.05.060 The tax was imposed by KCC 3.05.010 shall take
effect August 1, 2007 and shall expire June 30, 2023 (ordinance
2007-023) Fairgrounds debt $163,000.
Recreation
This budget is smaller in size compared the other funds.
Discussion regarding the sheriff lease ($466.00) and Water
District #6. Discussion regarding the start of conversations
with Grant CO PUD for maintenance utility cost. The City of
Kittitas REED project may not be done by 2014.
ERR
Discussion occurred regarding the replacement vehicles, the
Trailblazer vehicle to the General Fund (coroner) and talk about
the move of the county shop ($400,000).
