COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />MONDAY 8:00 AM OCTOBER 27, 2014 <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Gary <br />Berndt; Commissioner Obie O’Brien <br />Others: Lower District Court Administrator Christine Luvera, <br />Lower District Court Judge Jim Hurson, Upper District Court <br />Administrator Diana MacKenzie, Superior Court Judge Sparks, <br />County Clerk Joyce Julsrud, Administrative Assistance for the <br />County Clerk Sarah Keith, Prosecutor Greg Zempel, <br />Administrative Assistant to the Prosecutor Robin Raap, Legal <br />Secretary Angela Bugni, Deputy Prosecutor Paul Sander, Budget <br />and Finance Manager Judy Pless. <br />SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br />2015 Preliminary Budget Discussion <br />Judicial Family Group <br />Lower District Court <br />Christine Luvera and Judge Hurson presented their 2015 <br />Preliminary Department Budget. Regarding the Public Defense <br />budget, new standards go into effect 2015. Discussion was had <br />regarding a position increase – to be removed from General fund <br />and paid from Misdemeanant Probation. Revenues are down as <br />filings are down (mostly infractions). <br /> <br />Upper District Court <br />Diana MacKenzie presented the 2015 Preliminary Department <br />budget. Discussion occurred regarding the following items: <br />Judge pro temp fees, banking fees, telephone charges, scanner, <br />and projector. Laserfiche is taking the place of Liberty <br />licenses so that expense may be reduced. Discussion occurred <br />about scanners and software licenses and security wall. <br />
