2015 Preliminary Budget Study Session

Facilities Maintenance
Patti Johnson presented the 2015 preliminary departmental
budget. Discussion was held regarding the following items:
Permit Center remodel bathrooms, projects, removal of boiler
(this was removed) and $150,000 for Master Plan
Information Services
Jim Goeben presented the 2015 preliminary departmental budget.
Discussion was held regarding the following: $63,785 to set
aside reserves for equipment services switches, etc; salary
increase for proposed assistant director (Commissioner Jewell
advised to remove this item); $54,022 for core switches to be
funded from the equipment reserve. There will be 93 replacement
computer is 2015.
Human Resource
Lisa Young presented the 2015 preliminary departmental budget.
Discussion was held on the following: requesting another person
and phone expenses for the new person; travel increase; civil
service budget as sheriff anticipated more hiring; employee
input committee; increase in wellness included $3,000.
The BOCC advised to review what cuts were going to be made as
soon as possible
