COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 11:00 A.M. NOVEMBER 28, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II.
SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 11:03 a.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting and announced
the Board would recess into Executive Session for 15 minutes to
evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or
to review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to
RCW 42.30.140 (4), discussion by a governing body of salaries,
wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally applied
within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and
when a governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting
the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or
discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken
in a meeting open to the public. No action was anticipated.
At 11:18 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action taken.
At 11:18 a.m. Chairman Jewell announced the Board would recess back
into Executive Session 15 minutes to evaluate the qualifications of
an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a
public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140 (4), discussion

At 11:28 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action was taken. Commissioner Osiadacz was given direction and once
she is done making corrections she is to schedule a 6 month
evaluation for Jill Scheffer, Event Center Director.
At 11:28 a.m. Chairman Jewell announced the Board would recess back
into Executive Session (without Commissioner Osiadacz) for 10
minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public
employment or to review the performance of a public employee.
