The timing with the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) is such that they will make awards supporting environmental services in
the next several months and are encouraging staff to get the Statement of Qualifications out as
soon as possible to meet the timeline. The FAA have reviewed and approved the Statement of
Qualifications as presented to them.
Board Direction:
Commissioner Jewell and Commissioner Osiadacz approve advertisement of the Bowers
Field ACIP Environmental Statement of Qualifications.
FAIRVIEWROAD UPDATE:
Mark reported that during a recent bridge inspection staff found bridge abutment damage to two
bridges on Fairview Road. Staff met onsite upon finding the damage and decided that structural
plates were to be used to "crib" the broken abutments. Crews were finishing up the paving of the
structural plates today. This site was on the Six Year Transportation Improvement Plan for
repair in 2022, however, staff believes that it can be moved forward by reprioritizing the plan.
The temporary fix cost around $40,000. Discussion was held.
Board Direction:
No Direction.
411 N. Ruby, Suite #1 TEL (509) 962-7523
Ellensburg, WA 98926 FAX (509) 962-7663
