NOVEMBER 9, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Nick Henderson, <br />Coroner; Sarah Keith, Superior Court Administrator; Dianna <br />MacKenzie, Upper District Court Administrator; Sue Higginbotham, <br />Administrative Assistant III; Michael Stafford, Juvenile Court <br />Administrator; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Gene Dana, Sheriff; <br />Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Kari Elkins, JCA Assistant; Lisa Young, <br />Human Resource Director; Todd Davis, Noxious Weed Coordinator; <br />Heather Seibert, Chief Financial Manager; Judy Pless, Budget & <br />Finance Manager; Jill Scheffer, Event Center Director; Brett <br />Wachsmith, Treasurer; Michael Hougardy, Assessor; Andrew Drain, <br />Application Development Manager; Jim Goeben, IT Director; Patti <br />Johnson, Solid Waste/Maintenance Director/Project Manager; Elishia <br />Harvill, Office Administrator; and Robin Raap, Judicial Assistant. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING 2018 BUDGET COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to discuss the <br />2018 draft budget. <br /> <br />He said the general fund was out of balance by approximately $3.9 <br />million dollars. There was discussion on some additional revenues <br />which still needed to be added into the total. The Board reviewed <br />various projects requested by departments which totaled $1.4 million <br />above the regular costs. <br /> <br />The Board directed Staff to go back and review their budgets to see <br />if they can provide any additional cuts and to notify Judy Pless no <br />later than Tuesday November 14th in the morning in order to help <br />bring the deficit down to zero so there is a balanced budget.
