COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
THURSDAY 11:00 A.M. NOVEMBER 9, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Patti
Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Maintenance Director/Project Manager;
Kenn Triebelhorn, Principal with Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn
(ART); Rhonda Gillogly, AIA President (ART); Nick Henderson,
Coroner; Barb Demory, Court Administrator; Jim Goeben, IT Director;
Robin Read, PH Administrator; Gene Dana, Sheriff; Mike Stafford,
Juvenile Court Administrator; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager;
Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; Val Barschaw, Clerk and one member of the
public.
SPECIAL MEETING COURTHOUSE NEEDS SW/MAINT./PROJECT
At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to follow up
on the Courthouse Space Needs Spreadsheet reviewed at a Special
Meeting held on 9-14-17 provided by Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn
(ART).
Kenn Triebelhorn, Principal with (ART) reviewed handouts of the
Kittitas County Courthouse Pre-Design Study to allow for County
Staff to see what the layout proposed would look like.
There was discussion on the proposed departmental layout and what
seemed to be practical from the departments represented perspective.
Val Barschaw, Clerk stressed the importance of her office being
located next to the Courts as they work together daily.
Departments were directed to get any changes or concerns on the
draft proposal to Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Maintenance
Director/Project Manager and she would work with the Architect to
get them implemented prior to the Boards next review.
Meeting adjourned at 12:00 p.m.
