OCTOBER 17, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Lisa Young, <br />Human Resources Director & Larry Cade, Washington State Health Care <br />Authority (PEBB), and one member of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING BENEFITS VENDOR PRESENTATION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:45 a.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to receive <br />presentations from two separate healthcare benefits providers that <br />were recommended by the County Benefits Committee. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION WSHCA–PEBB–PRESENTATION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Larry Cade, Washington State Health Care Authority (PEBB), provided <br />handouts and reviewed materials relating to the benefits that PEBB <br />would be able to provide for Kittitas County. Mr. Cade reviewed the <br />policies that Kittitas County would have offered if the County <br />enrolled. He reviewed the 2018 medical benefits to each plan and the <br />cost comparison. Mr. Cade also reviewed the 2018 dental benefits <br />comparison; group term life and AD&D Ins.; long-term disability <br />insurance. <br /> <br />The Board asked questions of Mr. Cade relating to the materials <br />provided. <br /> <br />The Board directed Ms. Young to work with BoCC Staff to set up a <br />Special Meeting to compare WCIF/PEBB/Alliant-(Regence) and hopefully <br />be able to provide direction for Ms. Young for the 2018 benefits. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Paul Jewell, Chairman <br />
