SEPTEMBER 19, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz; and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Patti Johnson, <br />Solid Waste/Maintenance Director/Project Manager; Heather Seibert, <br />Chief Financial Manager (KCSO); Lucas Huck, Engineer. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING KCC 4.12.010 – AMENDING FEES SHERIFF <br /> <br />At 2:03 p.m. CHAIRMAN JEWELL opened a Public Hearing to consider a <br />proposed Ordinance to Amend the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office <br />Civil Fee Schedule. <br /> <br />HEATHER SEIBERT, CHIEF FINANCIAL MANAGER reviewed a Staff Report and <br />explained that the Amendment is to update the Kittitas County <br />Sheriff’s Office fee schedule, as it was last updated by Resolution <br />2004-02. She stated that many of the fees have a minimum set by RCW <br />36.18.040, with an allowance for an additional administrative <br />portion of the fees charged. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ stated that she felt that the updates were not <br />anything substantial especially given that they haven’t been updated <br />in over ten years. <br /> <br />CHAIRMAN JEWELL stated that he would like to see the fees reviewed <br />on a more frequent basis. He stated that he is pleased with the <br />other updates/changes she has brought in and implemented at the <br />Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC <br />PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 2017-006 KCC 4.12.010 SHERIFF <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Ordinance 2017-006, Amending <br />the Kittitas County Code Section 4.12.010. COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2017-150 AMENDING KSCO FEE SCHEDULE SHERIFF <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution 2017-150, Amending <br />the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office Civil Fee Schedule, setting the <br />amount of fees that shall be collected by the Sheriff to cover the
