COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY 1:30 P.M. SEPTEMBER 18, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Jill Scheffer,
Event Center Director and Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor.
SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 1:32 p.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting and announced
the Board would recess into Executive Session for 20 minutes to
discuss with legal counsel representing the agency matters relating
to agency enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel
representing the agency litigation or potential litigation to which
the agency, the governing body, or a member acting in an official
capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge
regarding the discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or
financial consequence to the agency. No action anticipated.
At 1:52 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action taken.
At 1:52 p.m. Chairman Jewell announced the Board would recess back
into Executive Session for 10 minutes to discuss with legal counsel
representing the agency matters relating to agency enforcement
actions, or to discuss with legal counsel representing the agency
litigation or potential litigation to which the agency, the
governing body, or a member acting in an official capacity is, or is
likely to become, a party, when public knowledge regarding the
discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial
consequence to the agency. No action anticipated.
At 2:02 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action was taken.
Commissioner Osiadacz left the meeting due to conflicting
appointments.
At 2:02 p.m. Chairman Jewell announced the Board would recess back
into Executive Session for 10 minutes to discuss with legal counsel
representing the agency matters relating to agency enforcement
actions, or to discuss with legal counsel representing the agency
litigation or potential litigation to which the agency, the
governing body, or a member acting in an official capacity is, or is

likely to become, a party, when public knowledge regarding the
discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial
consequence to the agency. No action anticipated.
At 2:12 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. Staff
was directed to report back after additional information is
obtained.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:12 p.m.
