AUGUST 21, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell, Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Neil Caulkins, <br />Deputy Prosecutor; Mark Cook, Public Works Director and Dan Carlson, <br />CDS Director. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Jewell stated that the Executive Session per <br />RCW42.30.140 (4)(a) Collective bargaining sessions with employee <br />organizations, including contract negotiations, grievance meetings, <br />and discussions relating to the interpretation or application of a <br />labor agreement; or (b) that portion of a meeting during which the <br />governing body is planning or adopting the strategy or position to <br />be taken by the governing body during the course of any collective <br />bargaining, professional negotiations, or grievance or mediation <br />proceedings, or reviewing the proposals made in the negotiations or <br />proceedings while in progress, would be rescheduled due to technical <br />issues with getting draft documents out. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2017-140 DECLARE AN EMERGENCY PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve Resolution 2017-140, To <br />Declare a Local Emergency at Bowers Field Airport for Runway 7/25. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz seconded.
