COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY 1:30 P.M. AUGUST 21, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell, Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Neil Caulkins,
Deputy Prosecutor; Mark Cook, Public Works Director and Dan Carlson,
CDS Director.
SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Jewell stated that the Executive Session per
RCW42.30.140 (4)(a) Collective bargaining sessions with employee
organizations, including contract negotiations, grievance meetings,
and discussions relating to the interpretation or application of a
labor agreement; or (b) that portion of a meeting during which the
governing body is planning or adopting the strategy or position to
be taken by the governing body during the course of any collective
bargaining, professional negotiations, or grievance or mediation
proceedings, or reviewing the proposals made in the negotiations or
proceedings while in progress, would be rescheduled due to technical
issues with getting draft documents out.
OTHER BUSINESS
RESOLUTION 2017-140 DECLARE AN EMERGENCY PUBLIC WORKS
Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve Resolution 2017-140, To
Declare a Local Emergency at Bowers Field Airport for Runway 7/25.
Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
Meeting adjourned at 1:37 p.m.
