COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:40 A.M. AUGUST 7, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell & Commissioner Obie
O’Brien. Excused: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Jill Scheffer,
Event Center Director & Lucas Huck, County Engineer.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD EVENT CENTER
Jill Scheffer, Event Center Director stated that the Fair Board had
expressed concerns for the structural condition of the Large Coke
Stage. She presented a Formal Task Order for the Board to consider
and explained that she asked the County Engineer to attend the
meeting in the event the Board had any questions from an engineering
perspective.
The Board authorized Ms. Scheffer to sign the Task Order with KPFF,
noting the max amount payable would be $3,600.00. The Board stressed
the importance of getting this completed quickly.
Ms. Scheffer presented the Board with the WSU Master Agreement. She
explained that this will allow WSU to advertise the Event Center
location on their website and documents. She stated that it will
also allow them to simplify/streamline the process for WSU to use
the facility.
The Board approved the document as presented.
