COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
WEDNESDAY 3:30 P.M. AUGUST 2, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Dan Carlson, CDS
Director; Mark Cook, Public Works Director and Neil Caulkins, Deputy
Prosecutor.
SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 3:30 p.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting and announced
the Board would recess into an Executive Session for 30 minutes per
RCW 42.30.140 to consider Collective bargaining sessions with
employee organizations, including contract negotiations, grievance
meetings, and discussions relating to the interpretation or
application of a labor agreement; or (b) that portion of a meeting
during which the governing body is planning or adopting the strategy
or position to be taken by the governing body during the course of
any collective bargaining, professional negotiations, or grievance
or mediation proceedings, or reviewing the proposals made in the
negotiations or proceedings while in progress. No action
anticipated.
At 4:00 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action was taken.
At 4:00 p.m. Chairman Jewell announced the Board would recess back
into Executive Session for 15 minutes per RCW 42.30.140 to consider
Collective bargaining sessions with employee organizations,
including contract negotiations, grievance meetings, and discussions
relating to the interpretation or application of a labor agreement;
or (b) that portion of a meeting during which the governing body is
planning or adopting the strategy or position to be taken by the
governing body during the course of any collective bargaining,
professional negotiations, or grievance or mediation proceedings, or
reviewing the proposals made in the negotiations or proceedings
while in progress. Potential action anticipated.
At 4:15 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. Staff
was directed to set another meeting in two weeks for follow up.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:15 p.m.
