AUGUST 1, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz; and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Holly Myers, Environmental <br />Health Supervisor; Patti Johnson, Solid Waste/Maintenance <br />Director/Project Manager; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager; Mark <br />Cook, Public Works Director; Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; <br />Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor; Debbie Myers, <br />Board Clerk; Christopher Horner, Deputy Prosecutor; Holly Duncan, <br />Environmental Health Specialist; and approximately 10 members of the <br />public. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell called the meeting to order. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNTY EMPLOYEES – NONE <br /> <br />PROCLAMATIONS – NONE <br /> <br />AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />AWARD GOVERNOR’S SMART COMMUNITIES COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />On behalf of Governor Jay Inslee, Scott Kuhta presented the Governor’s <br />Smart Vision Award to Kittitas County and the Kittitas County Lodging <br />Tax Committee for the Tourism Infrastructure Plan. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell noted Consent Items B & X were moved to Board Discussion <br />& Decision and Consent Items N & U were removed from the Agenda. He <br />also reviewed 3 Executive Sessions that would be held at the conclusion <br />of the Agenda.
