2017-07-24 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 3:00 P.M. JULY 24, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Robin Read, <br />Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor; Mark Larson, Public Health <br />Officer and 1 member of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING SMOKING/VAPING AT EVENT CENTER COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:00 p.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to <br />consider options and proposed language which had been drafted by <br />Deputy Prosecutor, Stephanie Hartung. <br /> <br />Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor, reviewed language which <br />she had prepared that would add a section to the Smoking/Vaping <br />Chapter within the Kittitas County Code. <br /> <br />It was noted that since it is a Board of Health issue, they <br />would need to set a Public Hearing to consider an Ordinance to <br />amend the County Code. Robin Read, Public Health Administrator <br />was directed to advertise a Special Meeting of the Board of <br />Health so they may schedule a Public Hearing to be held on <br />August 17, 2017. <br /> <br />There were questions on if there would be any issues regulating <br />changes during the rodeo.
