REGULAR MEETING
Tuesday 2:00 PM July 12, 2016

REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS
Meeting called to order at 2:00pm
Solid Waste Updates: Patti informed the Board that the
Ellensburg Scale house attendant was leaving and that we would
have a new employee the first of August.
Patti let the Board know that Solid Waste had received a PDR
related to the Wind farm at the Ryegrass facility and that we
were working with Doug Mitchell in the Prosecutors office.
Maintenance Update: Terry and Don will be working on the new
lock installation in the Courthouse and the Commissioner's
office locks would be changed this week.
Discussion was held on Crack sealing of county owned parking
lots.
Project Updates: ALSO Architect is working on the Rodeo arena
seating project drawings. Cost for the project is higher than
original hoped and need to look at cutting items to get project
cost down.
KVEC Updates: Mickey discussed the house at 1100 University way.
The Abatement and removal will take place August 8th and 9th. The
second house could wait & contact fire department for controlled
burn.
Mickey informed the Board that the Arena dirt project was
completed and the user groups seemed to be happy with the
project.
Mickey informed the Board that the contactor had run out of
carpet for the Manastash room so they are waiting for the carpet
to come in to complete. Room may be unavailable for another
week.
Mickey has closed the restrooms next to bloom and installed a
portable unit on back side of bloom due to vandalism.
Mickey discussed staffing issues at the Event Center. Steve is
on vacation now until he retires so shorthanded.
Noxious weed with be doing the remainder of the spraying at the
Event center.
Fire Inspection was completed and they have a few minor
corrections that need to be made.
Meeting adjourned @ 3:15pm
