SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY 3:00 P.M. JUNE 27, 2017
Board members present: Paul Jewell, Chairman; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz. Excused Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Rick Weaver,
Comprehensive Mental Health (CMH) and Robin Read, Public Health
Administrator.
SPECIAL MEETING COMPREHENSIVE HEALTHCARE COMMISSIONERS
At 3:00 p.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to receive an
update from Rick Weaver, CEO Comprehensive Healthcare regarding the
transition from Healthcare Authority to Managed Care Organization in
2020.
Rick Weaver, Comprehensive Healthcare provided a brief history for
Commissioner Osiadacz since they had not met before. He reviewed his
interactions and involvement in Kittitas County and how it’s evolved
over the years.
There was discussion on the Managed Care Model; how services are
delivered to the Medicaid Population; Behavioral Health ASO;
Discussion on the 1115 Waiver and the pros and cons of joining in on
the early adoption or waiting till it is State Law (2020). There was
discussion on the role of the RSN in the future and on how many
managed care plans the County may want; leadership care plan; early
warning system and the Accountable Communities of Health (ACH).
