RATIFY LETTER USDA GRANT COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to ratify Chair’s signature on a letter
signed on 6-19-2017 regarding the County’s support of the USDA
Housing Preservation Grant Application being submitted by
HopeSource. Chairman Jewell seconded. (O’Brien recused himself).
Motion carried 2-0.
DECISION SMOKING/VAPING AT KVEC COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz requested to remove the item until a later
date to discuss so she could prepare a plan.
OTHER BUSINESS
Chairman Jewell indicated he had no Legislative update. He said he
has been trying to get updates and nothing has been reported. He
stated that he is hopeful the budget impacts will not impact County
employees. He stated he has also been asking for updates on PILT and
Hirst and hasn’t heard anything.
Tom Miller, Citizen expressed his frustrations regarding the
turnaround time with obtaining water permits and stated that 1 year
or possibly more is unacceptable. He stated that it’s hindering his
ability to work. Commissioner Jewell invited Mr. Miller to come meet
with him at any time to learn what all has been done and all the
work that he does daily regarding water. He assured him the process
is much better than it used to be.
