6/26/2017 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />RATIFY LETTER USDA GRANT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to ratify Chair’s signature on a letter <br />signed on 6-19-2017 regarding the County’s support of the USDA <br />Housing Preservation Grant Application being submitted by <br />HopeSource. Chairman Jewell seconded. (O’Brien recused himself). <br />Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />DECISION SMOKING/VAPING AT KVEC COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz requested to remove the item until a later <br />date to discuss so she could prepare a plan. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell indicated he had no Legislative update. He said he <br />has been trying to get updates and nothing has been reported. He <br />stated that he is hopeful the budget impacts will not impact County <br />employees. He stated he has also been asking for updates on PILT and <br />Hirst and hasn’t heard anything. <br /> <br />Tom Miller, Citizen expressed his frustrations regarding the <br />turnaround time with obtaining water permits and stated that 1 year <br />or possibly more is unacceptable. He stated that it’s hindering his <br />ability to work. Commissioner Jewell invited Mr. Miller to come meet <br />with him at any time to learn what all has been done and all the <br />work that he does daily regarding water.
