2017-06-12 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 2:30 P.M. JUNE 12, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell & Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz. Recused himself and left the room: Commissioner Obie <br />O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Judy Pless, <br />Budget & Finance Director; Nancy Goodloe, Homelessness & Affordable <br />Housing Committee Member and 1 member of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING SPURLING PLACE DEV. FUNDING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:30 p.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to discuss <br />funding for the Spurling Place Development. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz, Vice-Chair/Chair of the Homelessness & <br />Affordable Housing Committee (HAHC) stated that the Board needs to <br />determine specifically which fund (Homelessness or Affordable <br />Housing) would the $500,000.00 for the Spurling Place Development <br />would come from. She explained that in the Resolution it was not <br />specified. She provided a handout of the current summary for each <br />fund. Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Director reviewed the summaries <br />of both funds as prepared by Public Health Fiscal Analyst Kaitlyn <br />Reddick. Commissioner Osiadacz explained that the HAHC can’t move <br />forward with the RFP process until this is determined so they know <br />what funds they have available. <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell suggested using 19% of the funds from Affordable <br />Housing and 81% of the funds from Homelessness. Additionally he <br />proposed in 2018 - $250,000.00 and in 2019 $250,000.00 to equal the <br />$500,000.00. Commissioner Osiadacz expressed her support for the <br />proposal and thanked everyone for attending.
