JUNE 7, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br />Civil Service Commission members: Carrie Youngblood, Ron Profit, <br />Buck Dawson, Erik Allen <br />Others: Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager; Christopher Horner, <br />Deputy Prosecuting Attorney; Clayton Myers, Undersheriff; Lisa <br />Young, Human Resources Director; Debbie Myers, Board Clerk; and <br />Monica Mersinger, Civil Service Commission applicant. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING CHIEF EXAMINER COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 4:04 p.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to discuss the <br />position and duties of Chief Examiner and initiated introductions. <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell said Lisa Young, the H.R. Director, had provided the <br />Chief Examiner’s job description. He said since the position is <br />vacant this would be a good time to review the position’s <br />responsibilities and asked for the Commission members input to see <br />if they should keep the part-time position model as is or make <br />changes. <br /> <br />Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager said the wages and benefits <br />for the combination H.R./Chief Examiner position come from the HR <br />budget. <br /> <br />There was discussion on the position duties; responsibilities; <br />potential conflicts; county structure; elected official positions; <br />pay and compensation; historical records; retention schedules; and <br />workload issues. <br /> <br />Lisa Young, HR Director said she estimated the position of Chief <br />Examiner would take about 10 to 50 hours a month. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:44 p.m. <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />BOARD CLERK KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Debbie Myers Paul Jewell, Chairman <br />
