MAY 1, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II and one member <br />of the public. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Jewell opened the Office Administration <br />meeting. <br /> <br />CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar. <br /> <br />PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County <br />Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence <br />Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week <br />ending April 28, 2017. <br /> <br />UPDATE STATIC DISPLAY SEAHAWK PROWLER COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien gave an update on a meeting the Board <br />previously held on 3/13/2017 to consider a request for a static <br />display of a “Seahawk” EA-6B Prowler from Marine Tactical Electronic <br />Warfare Squadron Four (VMAQ-4). He stated that he discussed the <br />project with Public Works Director Mark Cook and Director Cook <br />indicated that the County expense would be approximately $10,000.00. <br />He stated that the AT&T Vets would cover all other costs. He stated <br />that insurance wouldn’t be needed since the plane will be <br />decommissioned and the County liability insurance would cover any <br />other potential incidents but stressed he didn’t see that to be <br />something likely to happen. He stated that there are Aviation Vets <br />out of Wenatchee that a contract could be done with to apply a clear <br />coat before it was brought to Kittitas County for display. He stated <br />that he would like to see about LTAC funds for the project to fund <br />the County’s portion.
