2017-04-20 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />THURSDAY 11:00 A.M. APRIL 20, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie <br />O’Brien. Excused: Chairman Paul Jewell. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Neil Caulkins, <br />Deputy Prosecutor; Mark Cook, Public Works Director & Lucas Huck, <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:07 a.m. Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting <br />and announced the Board would recess into Executive Session for 10 <br />minutes to consider the selection of a site or the acquisition of <br />real estate by lease or purchase when public knowledge regarding <br />such consideration would cause a likelihood of increased price. <br />Action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 11:17 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien moved to authorize Vice-Chair Signature on an <br />Amended Offer to Purchase Real Estate for Parcel Numbers 11848, <br />11813, and 13229, in the amount $349,000.00 with $20,000.00 dollars <br />as earnest money, noting that the offer expires 5/15/2017 and the <br />amendments Deputy Caulkins is to add are under the Conditions: 4.) <br />Verification of acreage by survey conducted by County and 5.) <br />Environmental Review Phase I and closing would take place by <br />6/15/2017 and that it will be paid for by Public Works. Vice- <br />Chairman Osiadacz seconded. Commissioner O’Brien stated that he felt <br />this is a prime opportunity and a good move for the County.
