SPECIAL MEETING
WEDNESDAY 1:00 P.M. MARCH 29, 2017
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner
Obie O’Brien. Excused: Chairman Paul Jewell.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II & Mark Cook,
Public Works Director.
SPECIAL MEETING ROUNDABOUT FUNDING PUBLIC WORKS
At 1:07 p.m. Vice-Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to
consider a Resolution Authorizing a Funding Agreement with WSDOT for
the HWY 97 Roundabout in Ellensburg, WA (West Interchange).
Mark Cook, Public Works Director reviewed a Staff Report and
presented the Board with a Resolution and Funding Agreement for
their consideration.
RESOLUTION 2017-060 ROUNDABOUT FUNDING PUBLIC WORKS
Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-060, A
Contribution Agreement between Kittitas County and Washington State
Department of Transportation Supporting Construction US 97 Dolarway
Intersection Improvements. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. The Board
thanked Director Cook for going above and beyond with this project.
They asked that he extend their appreciation to County Road Engineer
Lucas Huck and expressed their excitement for what this project will
do for the County. Motion carried 2-0.
