REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:50 A.M. MARCH 6, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Jim Goeben, IT
Director.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD I.T.
Jim Goeben, IT Director presented the Board with an outline of what
he would like to present to the County Management Team regarding
phishing email and the security awareness training services/
simulated phishing attacks. He explained that after IT ran their
first simulated phishing attack it was approximately only 10% of
County employees “failed”, which means that they clicked on an e-
mail they shouldn’t have. The outline explained what phishing is,
what is a simulated phishing attack, why the County IT Department is
phishing, what will be done with the information collected and the
plan for use of the service.
The Board approved Mr. Goeben to move forward with the outline as
presented.
