COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:40 A.M. MARCH 6, 2017
Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Kay Kresge,
Accountant; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager; Jerry Pettit,
Auditor.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD AUDITOR
Kay Kresge, Accountant reviewed documents for the Board to certify
the County’s Capital Assets. She explained that by the Board signing
the letter it represented their approval and certification under
oath that the attached listing of Capital Assets shown at cost value
as of 12.31.2016, including items added in 2015 and those disposed
in 2016. The total amount of Capital Assets for Kittitas County is
$233,149,702. She also noted that to be included are the Public
Works Road and Equipment Rental & Revolving increases of $2,236,087
and decreases of $87,668 and the purchase of Shady Brook Mobile Home
Court, $1,452,711 which have not been entered into the Cayenta
system.
LETTER CAPITAL ASSETS AUDITOR
Commissioner O’Brien moved to authorize Board signature on a letter
to County Auditor Jerry Pettit certifying the County’s Capital
Assets. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
OTHER BUSINESS
Jerry Pettit, Auditor shared with the Board that there is interest
in putting a foot bridge in at the Naneum Pond.
