Planning Short Course in June: Doc stated he was able to arrange a planning short course to be held in Ellensburg on June 15`I'. Doc stated the Planning staff and the Permit Technicians will be attending from CDS. Doc stated he sent out notices to the City Councils, the Planning Commission, and other entities. There was discussion on what the course will entail. Board Direction: None. Update CDS on plans, conmlissions, and other items: Doc requested that the Board update Community Development Services on any plans, commissions, or policies that are up and coming so that those can be incorporated into the Comprehensive Plan update. Commissioner Jewell updated staff on a couple of projects that are going to be coming up. Board Direction: None. Voluntary Stewardship Pro awn contract amendment: Angela stated the Conservation Commission sent a contract regarding an amendment on the timeline and an adjustment in the price. Commissioner Jewell motioned to sign the contract, Commissioner O'Brien seconded the motion, and the motion passed. Board Direction: Signed contract. Amendment #1 extends both the period of performance and funding available of Contract No. K1611 to June 30, 2017. Please be aware that the funds awarded in this grant must be spent by June 30, 2017. Please have the responsible County representative sign Amendment #1 and return it to the Commission at POB 47721, Olympia, WA 98504-7721. The Conservation Commission is committed to providing you technical assistance and support throughout your implementation of the VSP. This amendment (the "Amendment") is made and entered into by and between the Washington State Conservation Commission, hereinafter referred to as "COMMISSION" and Kittitas County, hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY", parties to the original contract dated December 7, 2015 (the "Contract"). 2. The Contract is amended as follows: the entire clause of the original contract entitled "PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE" is replaced in its entirety by the following: PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE Subject to its other provisions, the period of performance of this Agreement shall commence on the effective date of this agreement and be completed on June 30, 2017, unless either extended by agreement of the parties or terminated sooner, as provided herein. 3. The Contract is further amended as follows: The entire clause of the original contract entitled "FUNDING AVAILABLE" is replaced in its entirety by the following: FUNDING AVAILABLE Funding provided by legislative appropriation for the work herein will not exceed $270, 000. Payment for satisfactory performance of the work accomplished under this Agreement shall not exceed this amount. 4. Except as set forth in this Amendment, the Agreement is unaffected and shall continue in full force and effect in accordance with its terms. If there is conflict between this amendment and the Agreement or any earlier amendment, the terms of this amendment will prevail. 5.
