REGULAR MEETING

Board members present: Gary Berndt, Obie O’Brien, Paul Jewell
Others: Lisa Young, Mark Cook, Patti Johnson; Member of the

REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS
1) Call to Order – 10:08 AM
2) Public Works Staffing – Director Cook was present to share
potential funding options for a Water Resource Manager. He
also updated the Board regarding the departure of the
Planner III and the Transportation Manager vacancy. The
Board asked him to bring back a funding model.
3) Maintenance Staffing – Director Johnson reported that she
is working with HR on a job description that would combine
the duties of Solid Waste Director and Maintenance
Director. The Board asked that she bring a recommendation
to the next HR Study Session for approval. The Board also
asked that she work with the Sheriff’s Office and HR on a
maintenance job description that would primarily perform
work in the jail, along with potential funding options, and
to bring recommendations to a future HR Study Session.
4) Other business – Mr. Eberhart was present to speak to the
Board about the Silica Road bridge. He expressed concerns
regarding removal of the bridge and lack of access for
emergency vehicles. The Board asked that he speak with
Public Works Director Cook to resolve his concerns.
