COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 3:00 PM JULY 08, 2014 <br />Board members present: Paul Jewell, Gary Berndt, Obie O’Brien <br />Others: Lisa Young, Doc Hansen, Jeff Watson, Doug Fessler, Jim Goeben <br />SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />1) Call to Order – 3:00 PM <br />2) CDS Staffing – Planning Official Hansen and Planner Watson <br />presented a PAF to hire a current volunteer as a paid Office <br />Assistant. The PAF was approved as presented. <br />3) KCSO MOU’s – HR Director Young presented an MOU on behalf of the <br />Sheriff’s Office. The MOU grants the ability for Line Deputies to <br />trade shifts upon approval by the Sheriff. Commissioner O’Brien <br />moved to approve the MOU as presented; Commissioner Berndt <br />seconded. The motion carried 3:0. The Board reviewed use of <br />staff under the MOU signed on 4/30/14, which allowed assignment of <br />overtime to exempt non-union employees for shifts not requested by <br />union employees, and the types of situations that may apply. <br />4) HR Project Updates – Director Young gave an update on the status <br />of current projects in HR, and upcoming office closures. <br />5) Other Business: Director Young provided a project overview for IT <br />connection at the old Fair Office and the Duplex. IT Director <br />Goeben and Network Administrator Fessler were present to explain <br />the technical aspects of the project.
