COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />WEDNESDAY 10:00 AM MAY 28, 2014 <br />Board members present: Paul Jewell, Gary Berndt, Obie O’Brien <br />Others: Lisa Young <br />SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />1) Call to Order – 10:00 AM <br />2) HR Updates – HR Director Young provided a brief update on the <br />Pizza Pink Out and upcoming HR closures. <br /> <br />3) KVEC Updates – Director Young discussed how things were going <br />at the Event Center. Commissioner Berndt will speak with <br />Sarah about the stage rental; Director Young will work with <br />CWU and DPA Nigrey regarding sale of the bouncy house. <br /> <br />5) Executive Session – Personnel Matters <br />RCW 42.30.110 (g) To evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the <br />performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of <br />salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in <br />a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the salary <br />of an individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an empl oyee, that action shall <br />be taken in a meeting open to the public <br /> <br />The Board entered Executive Session at 10:15 AM to discuss <br />the performance of a public employee. Anticipated length: 15 <br />minutes; anticipated action: none. At 10:30 AM the Board <br />extended the Executive Session for an additional three <br />minutes.
