12/12/2016 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:40 A.M. DECEMBER 12, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien & Commissioner Laura <br />Osiadacz. Excused: Vice-Chairman Paul Jewell. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Jim Goeben, IT <br />Director; Lisa Young, HR Director and one member of the public. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD IT <br /> <br />Jim Goeben, IT Director questioned if the facilities software for <br />the Event Center would be on hold until they hire a new Event Center <br />Director. He stated that he has a meeting set for the week of the <br />December 19th and is unclear what his conversation should be going <br />into the meeting. Chairman O’Brien indicated that he will notify <br />Mickey Webb, Event Center Director that the software purchase is on <br />hold until a new Event Center Director is hired. <br /> <br />Jim Goeben, IT Director asked the Board for clarification and/or <br />their understanding and expectations for the new “Software Video <br />Technician Specialist”, approved for the Prosecutor’s Office in a <br />recent reclassification request. Chairman O’Brien explained that it <br />was his understanding the position would be responsible for software <br />that is specific to the Prosecutor’s Office. Commissioner Osiadacz <br />felt that a conversation between Mr. Goeben, Greg Zempel, Prosecutor <br />and Jacob Schroeder, Legal Secretary II (Software Video Technician <br />Specialist), needed to take place so they can all have the same <br />understanding. Chairman O’Brien and Commissioner Osiadacz both <br />reminded Mr. Goeben that Mr. Zempel is an independently elected <br />official so they really don’t have a lot of say over much in Mr. <br />Zempel’s office other than their budget.
