COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES

COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:40 A.M. OCTOBER 3, 2016
Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien & Commissioner Laura
Osiadacz. Excused: Vice-Chairman Paul Jewell.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Mickey Webb,
Event Center Director & Chelsea Lierly, HR Rep.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD HUMAN RESOURCES
Mickey Webb, Event Center Director explained that he has two
openings, one full-time and one that is 16-hours a week. He
explained that with the salary savings of not filling the positions
that he would like to create two temporary positions that would be
20-30 hours a week. He stated that he has two seasonal employees
that are interested and would like to switch them over to temps and
then post in mid-November or December. He explained that he had
spoken with Lisa Young, HR Director and she stated that he could do
a 60 – 90 day temporary position and then 30 day extensions would be
allowed with BoCC approval.
Chairman O’Brien and Commissioner Osiadacz both indicated that they
were in support of the proposal.
Meeting adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
