This would prohibit smoking and electronic vaping devices in public <br />places, with the exception to licensed retailers where minors are prohibited. Ms. Read noted that she <br />would not recite the whole staff report, but would highlight the following main points: <br />• Electronic vaping devices are battery powered vaporizers that simulate smoking <br />• Use of electronic vaping devices would not be allowed in the same public places as smoking <br />tobacco products, unless the public place is a licensed vape retail outlet where access to minors is <br />prohibited and vapor product sales generate at least 51% of the businesses income <br />• Recently became regulated in Washington State on August 8, 2016 <br />• June 28, 2016, ESSB 6328 went into effect, which provides Washington State regulation for <br />vapor products <br />• What public health does know: <br />
