2016-07-06 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />WEDNESDAY 2:30 P.M. JULY 6, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien; Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Lisa Young, HR <br />Director and Jon Kaino, Executive Director of WCIF. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING WCIF ANNUAL VISIT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:32 p.m. Chairman O’Brien opened a Special Meeting to meet with <br />Jon Kaino, Executive Director of WCIF. <br /> <br />Jon Kaino, Executive Director for the Washington Counties Insurance <br />Fund/Washington Counties Insurance Pool, introduced himself and gave <br />the Board a handout that outlined the benefits offered by WCIF. He <br />reviewed an insert to the handout reflecting the Counties served and <br />other participating employers. He stated that this year the <br />Executive Chair of the WCIF Board of trustee’s is Commissioner Obie <br />O’Brien. He stated that the expected increases for the 2017 rates <br />will be determined at the August Board meeting August 11 & 12, 2016. <br />He stressed the importance of the Live Well-Wellness Program offered <br />through WCIF, noting that the employees will receive a $150.00 <br />credit applied to their deductible if the 40% participation in the <br />program is met then the insurance rates are at a reduced rate. He <br />briefly discussed the premium savings for the County with them <br />participating in the Live Well-Wellness Program. <br /> <br />The Board thanked Mr. Kaino for taking the time to meet with them <br />and give them updates as well as allow time for the County to <br />provide feedback. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 3:08 p.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Obie O’Brien, Chairman <br />
