COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING – IT STUDY SESSION <br />Monday 11:00 am June 13, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chair Obie O'Brien, Vice-Chair Paul Jewell, <br />Commissioner Laura Osiadacz <br /> <br />Others: Jim Goeben, IT Director <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting Commissioners <br /> <br />Call to Order: 11:04 AM <br /> <br />IT Study Session Date and Time Change <br />Mr. Goeben requested the board set a public hearing to consider <br />changing the IT Study Session date from the 2nd Monday of the month at <br />11am to a date later in the month. This will allow Mr. Goeben to meet <br />with other boards and committees scheduled the second week of the <br />month, before meeting with the board. <br /> <br />Board direction: Work with board staff to schedule a public hearing. <br /> <br />County Code Publishing Information <br />In response to questions asked by the board in the May 23, 2016 CDS <br />Study Session, Mr. Goeben provided the following information: <br /> In 2015, IT spent 7 hours codifying 10 ordinances <br /> 2016 to date, IT spent 22 hours codifying 10 ordinances <br /> Ordinance 2016-006, Comp Plan Shoreline Master Plan, was 152 <br />pages of which 19 pages had tables <br />o Code Publishing’s cost to codify: $3,268 <br />o IT cost to codify: $780 <br /> Benefits of using Code Publishing <br />o Users can print in other formats <br />o Table headers scroll with the table <br />o Advanced search features <br />o Optional feature of side-by-side/redline comparison an code <br />tips/definitions <br />o Professional editors using standard styles <br /> <br />Mr. Goeben recommended the board continue to use IT to codify county <br />ordinances. <br /> <br />Board direction: IT will continue to codify county ordinances. <br />
