2016-06-06 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 1:00 P.M. JUNE 6, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien; Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Jerry Pettit, <br />Auditor & Kittitas County Parks and Recreation Dist. #1: John <br />Storch, Gabe Ergler & Van Peterson. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING KC PARKS & RECREATION DIST. #1 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:00 p.m. Chairman O’Brien opened a Special Meeting to receive <br />introductions and an update from the Kittitas County Parks and <br />Recreation Dist. #1 (KCPRD). <br /> <br />John Storch, KCPRD Chair explained that the District serves the <br />Upper Kittitas County incorporated and unincorporated areas of Cle <br />Elum, Roslyn, South Cle Elum, Easton, Hyak, Snoqualmie Pass and <br />Ronald as well as surrounding areas. He introduced the members who <br />were present and reviewed the Governance of the KCPRD. He gave an <br />overview of the Primary Assets such as Evergreen SnoPark and Rat- <br />Pack. He reviewed the Districts Primary Focusses such as their <br />desire to develop collaborative working relationships with the <br />public and private sector stakeholders and to develop and implement <br />multi-year strategic plan. <br /> <br />There was further discussion on the Districts Primary Focusses as <br />well as ways that they are planning to pay the County back. They <br />discussed funding mechanisms as well as a review of the groups they <br />have been reaching out to, as community outreach has become a <br />priority for them. <br /> <br />Mr. Ergler asked the Board to consider a letter of support from the <br />County and felt that periodic meetings to keep the County updated on <br />progress the KCPRD is making. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 1:45 p.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Obie O’Brien, Chairman <br />
