COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY 3:00 P.M. MAY 9, 2016
Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien; Vice-Chairman Paul
Jewell and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Dave Wilson,
MERIT.
SPECIAL MEETING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERV.-UPDATE COMMISSIONERS
At 3:00 p.m. Chairman O’Brien opened a Special Meeting to receive an
update from Dave Wilson, MERIT, regarding Behavioral Health Services
in Kittitas County.
Dave Wilson, Merit explained that Mr. Weaver was out of state and
unable to attend. He provided the Board with a spending plan outline
for MERIT Resource Services, DHS (CWCMH) & GCBH from April 1, 2016 –
June 30, 2017. He gave a brief re-cap of the previous meeting for
Commissioner Osiadacz as well as some history. He reviewed the
spending plan for, 2016 & 2017 & the monthly cost break down for
each entity.
The Board asked how he was feeling a month into the full integration
of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency. Mr. Wilson explained that
as of now there haven’t been a whole lot of changes and due to being
given a lot of time leading up to the integration everything has
been going smooth.
The Board asked if there was anything he wanted to share or discuss.
He felt they had covered it and thanked the Board for the time to
meet.
The next meeting was set for August 8, 2016.
Meeting adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
