2016-04-14 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />THURSDAY 11:00 A.M. APRIL 14, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien and Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell. Commissioner District #2 – Vacant. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director/Interim County Engineer; and Lisa Young, Human Resource <br />Director. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING PROJECT UPDATES PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 11:00 a.m. Chairman O’Brien opened a Special Meeting to receive <br />updates from Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim County <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />Mr. Cook reviewed positions as referenced in his notes which were <br />provided to the Board of County Commissioners. The Board gave <br />direction to Mr. Cook to bring back job descriptions with a new wage <br />scale on the April 26, 2016 Study Session for their review. <br /> <br />Mr. Cook reviewed various road projects their department has been <br />working on. He also reviewed some significant flooding which has <br />occurred at the airport. A few other projects he updated the Board <br />on were discussions with Ellensburg Parks & Recreation to extend the <br />John Wayne Trail; No. 6 Road project; Stampede Pass overcrossing <br />repair project; Via Kachess Lodge Creek Culvert replacement; SERF <br />Board Yakima River Corridor Plan project closeout; and the Manastash <br />Bridge project. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 11:50 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik Obie O’Brien, Chairman <br />
