COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:40 A.M. MARCH 28, 2016
Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien & Commissioner Gary
Berndt. Excused: Vice-Chairman Paul Jewell.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Mickey Webb,
Event Center Director.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD EVENT CENTER
Mickey Webb, Event Center Director provided a brief update on the
Monster Truck event he was trying to plan for this spring. He stated
that he will be canceling it this year due to timing and him not
getting the response from the sponsorship requests he sent out. He
stated that he would like to get approval to plan for it in 2017. He
stated that he plans to keep the rodeo arena booked at that time to
allow for time to do the dirt work that needs to be done.
The Board supported Mr. Webb working on the Monster Truck event in
2017.
OTHER BUSINESS-
Mickey Webb, Event Center Director stated that he is down a truck
due to the water-pump going out.
Commissioner Berndt stated that after a recent lunch he and
Commissioner Jewell attended at the Parke Creek Boys Home (PCBH) a
discussion came about and it sounds like the County may work on a
Contract to have the boys from (PCBH) do work around the Event
Center. He stated however they cannot work around the County
Trustee’s or use power tools.
