COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 10:00 A.M. FEBRUARY 22, 2016
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Paul Jewell & Commissioner Gary
Berndt. Absent: Chairman Obie O’Brien.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Mickey Webb,
Event Center Director; Tip Hudson, WSU Extension; Lisa Young, HR
Director & Patti Johnson, Solid Waste/Maintenance Director/Project
Manager.
REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD WSU EXTENSION
Mickey Webb, Event Center Director explained that he and Tip
Hudson’s Office Managers are having back issues and other issues due
to their desks and the height they are. Lisa Young, HR Director
stated that it’s a problem she has been aware of since she was the
Co - Interim Event Center Director. She stated that they were not
built for 8 hour a day sitting jobs. There was discussion on how
perhaps the architect’s plans were not installed correctly. Mickey
Webb, Event Center Director presented two proposals as solutions.
Option #1 costing $1,840.00 dollars and option #2 costing $1,350.00
dollars. He stated that option #1 is preferred as it will correct
all issues with the desks.
The Board expressed their frustrations regarding the on-going issues
with the Armory. They authorized Mr. Webb to move forward with
option #1.
