FEBRUARY 2, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien; Vice-Chairman Paul Jewell <br />and Commissioner Gary Berndt. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Mark Cook, Public <br />Works Director; Darren Higashiyama, Operations Commander; Heather <br />Seibert, Chief Financial Manager-KCSO and 5 members of the public. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />At 10:02 a.m. Chairman O’Brien called the meeting to order. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Chairman O’Brien led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNTY EMPLOYEES - NONE <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION 2/7/16 – 2/13/16 - FCCLA WEEK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Jewell moved to approve a Proclamation declaring February <br />7, 2016 – February 13, 2016 as FCCLA Week “Empower” and urged all <br />residents to encourage the youth leaders of America to achieve knowledge <br />and experience that will help prepare them for future responsibilities <br />as active and concerned adult members of society. Commissioner Berndt <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS - NONE <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Chairman O’Brien noted Consent Item G & K were removed and that Consent <br />Item H had been moved to Board Discussion & Decision Item A. <br />Commissioner Jewell moved to approve the Agenda, as amended. <br />Commissioner Berndt seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Items listed under the Consent Agenda were distributed to the Board of <br />County Commissioners in advance for study and were enacted by one motion
