2015-06-19 MINUTES <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />FRIDAY 10:00 A.M. JUNE 19, 2015 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Gary Berndt and Vice-Chairman <br />Obie O’Brien. Excused: Paul Jewell. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and Justin LeRoux. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING INTERNSHIP COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Berndt opened a Special Meeting to <br />discuss a possible internship opportunity in the Kittitas County <br />Board of Commissioner’s office. <br /> <br />Justin LeRoux provided background information on his personal <br />and professional experiences. He said he was currently working <br />towards obtaining his Master’s Degree in Public Administration <br />through Seattle University and would like to possibly volunteer <br />as an intern in the Kittitas County Board of Commissioner’s <br />office either next fall or winter. The internship would be <br />worth 3 credits at his university and each credit is 50 hours, <br />so he would have 150 hours available to volunteer for projects. <br /> <br />The Commissioners provided some possible projects he could work <br />on during his internship including REET 2 project.
