FEBRUARY 1, 2010 <br /> <br />Board members present- Chairman Mark McClain; Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell; Commissioner Alan Crankovich. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Robinson, Deputy <br />Clerk of the Board; Catherine Dunn, Deputy Clerk of the Board. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman McClain opened the Office Administration <br />meeting. <br /> <br />CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly calendar. <br /> <br />PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County <br />Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence <br />Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week <br />ending January 29, 2010. <br /> <br />QUESTION SB6733 KC SUPPORT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Jewell gave the history of why this Bill is before the <br />Legislators and indicated that the SB 6733 Bill is a Yakima County <br />Sponsored legislation. He explained that RSN is supporting the Bill <br />and felt we should too, being that we are members of the RSN. <br />Commissioner Jewell moved to have staff draft a letter of support. <br />Commissioner Crankovich seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />DIRECTION EVENT PERMIT APPLICATION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board expressed some potential concerns <br />over the new language included in the Event Permit Application <br />process. She felt issues might be coming forward from applicants <br />this year when they see the new guidelines and language. She <br />explained the areas of concern mainly regarding bonding costs and
