APRIL 08, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook, <br />Public Works Director/Interim Engineer; Elizabeth Torrey, WDFW; <br />Nicky Pasi, Mountains to Sound Greenway; Betsy Robblee, WWRC – <br />Outreach & Policy Manager & Marc Eylar, PLAC Member. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING WA WILDLIFE RECREATION COMMISSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:30 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Special Meeting with Betsy <br />Robblee, Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition (WWRC). He <br />said the meeting was to receive information about existing Statewide <br />opportunities that may assist and increase entities efforts in <br />obtaining grant funding for certain projects which fit into certain <br />categories. <br /> <br />BETSY ROBBLEE, WWRC reviewed the organization’s program, roles, and <br />information on existing Statewide grant opportunities for recreation <br />improvements and how they could assist entities. The Washington <br />Wildlife Recreation Program (WWRP) is the State’s premier <br />conservation and recreation program which provides matching funds to <br />create new local and State parks, protect wildlife habitat and <br />preserve working lands. She reviewed some of the proposed projects: <br />Palouse to Cascade – E-burg to Renslow Surfacing; Quilomene Wildlife <br />Area Restoration & Funded: Heart of the Cascades – Critical Habitat; <br />Rader Road Ranch – Farmland Preservation (WWRP) projects in Kittitas <br />County. <br /> <br />There was a roundtable discussion and clarifying questions were <br />asked. <br /> <br />The Board thanked Ms. Robblee for coming and sharing potential <br />opportunities. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned 4:14 p.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br />
