05/14/2019 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 3:30 P.M. MAY 14, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Clay Myers, <br />Undersheriff. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OPERATIONS COMMANDER COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:30 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting with Clay <br />Myers, Undersheriff to consider and/or Approve Operations Commander <br />Positions. <br /> <br />The Board asked questions of Undersheriff Myers relating to budget <br />impacts. Undersheriff Myers explained that the position is funded <br />50% from the 3/10th of 1% and then 50% from the General Fund. He <br />stated that its budget neutral for 2019 General Fund impact due to <br />un-spent salaries and then for 2020 it will come forward like all <br />positions to be budgeted for. He stated that the 3/10th impact will <br />require a Budget Transfer. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve and authorize Board <br />signature on the Kittitas County new Position Worksheet for the <br />Sheriff’s Office Operations Commander as presented. Commissioner <br />Osiadacz seconded.
